I have sooo much to say about this omg. First and foremost what a cool kid, reminded me of a lot of my friends & myself! I too see the beauty of psychedelics and the benefits they can offer people! My only problem with this is that he’s just wayyyy too young to be participating in them. And that’s where I get into the mother. As a child who ended up doing drugs heavily in highschool and flew right under the radar I definitely can recognize that it was mental health related and I definitely needed someone to step in for me and guide me away from that, most all the kids I did drugs with too came from similar home lives and also had mental health problems. And for this mother to be so spot on in identifying this in her son speaks VOLUMES about the intelligent, aware mother she is. she even called out other parents for being afraid to confront these issues which is so true for that time! I truly cannot blame her for her judgment on the drug either based on the little info they knew compared to now and the fact that her young son shouldn’t have been partaking at that age either way. Super cool family, i hope they all ended up alright!

My Grandpa was drafted into Vietnam. I only have one story that my dad told me. He was walking through the jungle when his best friend stepped on a trap that was a sharp stick with poo on the end so not only would it go through his foot, it would get infected. They immediately got ambushed and two more of his friends were killed. I don't remember him because he died two hours before my 4th birthday. But everybody who knew him said he was a funny, great man. I really wish I got to know him

Now, the Union is useless because the factory will just move to a poor country or they would just move the poor country to the factory. I've worked in a factory for 21 years now, and I'm just as poor as someone on welfare . Actually, welfare recipients have more time and food. The factory I work at has seen a 75% migrant occupation in the last 3 years. The worker is an indentured servant. It's worse than ever, but it's been bad since the early 90s. Thats also about the time CAT, GM, Firestone told the Union's to "get bent", "take a lousy pay or don't we'll go to Mexico and pay them slave wages"
